Build Trust in Social-Media with Community-Driven Design Approach ๐ŸŒŸ

Hi, ,

We hear a lot of debates and discussions around
design thinking. The first piece of advice is:
Get into your user's mind.

Start finding synapses between how your audience
is socializing, and what they are saying.
How do they feel? You want to be human.
That human piece is so crucial because at the end of
the day, people want to talk to people and not so much
with brands.

Spend time listening

Engage your energy into listening to what people
say about your niche, and your service.
What were fan-favorite features?

What were people saying about your services?
And then we had to be quite strategic because
once you understand how fans behave and think,
then comes the next part of science, right?
It's the predicting part.

Use your learnings to predict what comes next.
We need to adapt the strategy and change the tone
of voice to that used by the audience.

Methods for getting into peopleโ€™s mind

Social listening
1. See what conversations are happening in
 Facebook groups
2. Troll through Twitter, and see what conversations
are happening with a particular hashtag
3. Engage with a particular topic.

This way, you understand how people feel and talk
about a particular topic. And then test your content
with this group. Post it, see how they react, and then
keep an eye on the metrics.

Different channels have different personalities

We need to learn that we donโ€™t just take one post and
post it across the board, across different platforms.
Social platforms change a lot over time. Instagram
is another good example of something that's changing
very rapidly.

Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, said that
Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app. Now it
is a video-sharing app, and video is going to be king
on this platform.

So, ensuring that your Instagram strategy is video
first is the most important thing.
It's about the bite-size videos, bite-sized video content
that is super engaging, it's short form, it's fun.

No more attention-driven models

People and social platforms are embracing a more
community-driven approach. Speak a different language
as you move from one platform to another. In this way,
you play to the platform algorithm.

Twitter
It is a go-to space for an instant, trending content
& conversation. People use it for real-time tweets.

Facebook
Based on communities, Facebook is the place for
long-form content. The algorithm is championing videos
between 3-5 minutes. They want users to watch & spend
more time.

Instagram
Focuses on easy engagement. Gives credit to reels.
